What problems would I have buying an iPad to from the US and using it in the UK? Would the App Store still work the same? Would I need a different charger?

I live here in Thailand, and I simply purchased an iPad on eBay from the U.S. and it was delivered here in three days. I can see no limitation, or even special consideration, required for having an iPad from the U.S.A. in the UK. The current is the same here as in the UK, and I charge my iPad via an iPhone wall charger, from my wall USB hub or, of course, straight USB connector into the computer. I have noticed, though, that my iPhone charging cables with USB do not seem to work as well as the official USB cables, especially if I am buying a non-Apple USB charging cable. They still work, however, but for one cable at least, I have to turn off the iPad for it to charge up – but it’s okay for over-night charging.
I use the U.S. app store, but I see that I could choose the UK (or any other) store if I wanted to (and had an account in those places). I have absolutely no problems with the app store, or the update badges (on the app store icon) or with the updates themselves.
Hope you enjoy it!
